dermaplaning

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaing is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead cells and hair from your face. Dermaplaning aims to make your skin's surface smooth, youthful and radiant, by removing "peach fuzz" the short soft hairs on your face.

Dermaplaning can be used for any skin type and anyone with: acne scars, dull skin, dry skin, sun damaged skin, and fine wrinkles.

Contrary to what you've been told, dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. Our hair will grow back exactly the same colour and thickness as it was previously...  your skin will appear much brighter than before.

There's little to no downtime required after a dermaplaning treatment.

How it works..

If you look at the tool used for dermaplaning treatments, you may notice it looks like a razor you would use on your body hair. The blade type tool glides across the skin removing all impurities.

We offer a number of dermaplaning packages, if you are unsure which would benefit you the most please don't hesitate to get in contact.

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back after a chemical peel is smoother and younger looking.

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, skin discoloration and scars and can be done, alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures.

These peels can be applied at different depths, light, medium or deep, depending on your desired results.

Each type of peel uses a different chemical solution. Deeper peels produce more-dramatic results, but also involve longer recovery times.

Microneedling

The main purpose of the treatment is skin rejuvenation. As the superficial wounds begin to heal, the skin’s internal repair systems are triggered, and its production of collagen is kickstarted. Collagen is the protein responsible for plumping, reducing lines and wrinkles and refining skin texture, so is vital when it comes to skin renewal. While microneedling will yield excellent results for all skin types looking for an improvement in overall condition, it’s particularly good for treating the textural changes associated with acne scarring.

Microneedling is also a useful conduit for further treatment. Another benefit is taking advantage of the tiny channels that have been created and using them to deliver quality ingredients, that’s because these tiny holes create excellent pathways for active ingredients to be infused into the hard-to-penetrate lower levels of the skin, making the products you put on afterwards much more effective.

LED Light Therapy

LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that enters the skin’s layers to improve the skin. The LED’s effects in promoting wound healing, by helping cells and tissues grow.

Skin specialists often use LED light therapy together with other treatments, such as creams, ointments and facials, to give you the best results.

LED light therapy helps treat a variety of skin concerns and conditions, including:

  • Eczema.

  • Hair loss.

  • Mild to moderate acne.

  • Psoriasis.

  • Rough, scaly, precancerous spots on the skin (actinic keratosis).

  • Rosacea.

  • Sun damage.

  • Wounds.

  • Wrinkles.

LED light therapy uses various wavelengths that correspond to different visible colours. Each colour penetrates the skin at different depths.

Hydrafacial

The HydraFacial is said to help improve overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. This is due to the deep exfoliation that cleans your pores, removing debris and allowing for better penetration of face serums tailored to your skin type.

HydraFacial for blackheads

Dead skin cells also contribute to blackheads. This noninflammatory type of acne benefits from the same exfoliating and extracting methods used in the HydraFacial.

HydraFacial for rosacea

It can be difficult to find cosmetic treatments safe enough for this sensitive skin condition. HydraFacial for rosacea, a 2006 study revealed that similar techniques may benefit rosacea.

HydraFacial for anti-aging concerns

HydraFacial treatments decreases the signs of skin aging. The effects include decreased pore size, less hyperpigmentation, and decreased fine lines.

HydraFacial side effects and precautions

While the HydraFacial is said to be free of complications , you may feel light pressure from the wand during the procedure. Unlike other cosmetic treatments, the HydraFacial isn’t supposed to cause pain or redness.

However, you should avoid this procedure if you have an active rash, such as one related to a rosacea flare.
